About Me

 

Hello - I am Renika, the creator of Nika 44Play.

From an early age I loved playing dress up, dancing and mix n’ matching things to create unique looks. Growing up as a dancer, my passion for creating costumes began from performing on many different stages among my dance sisters. I was always interested in what we were wearing for shows and constructing our clothing in ways that told stories.

 

So I launched my own dance and design company - Nika 44Play!

Using my passions and gifts, I sew and create statement pieces for clients. From costumes, accessories, clothing revamps, movement sessions and other crafty projects - I deliver custom works.  My design inspirations are rooted in the love I have for my Afro-Caribbean culture and I can get suuuper geek'd when creating designs to portray characters through Cosplay. I also enjoy connecting with new clients and creatives while exploring movement, imagination and play to bring their visions to life. It's the roleplay for me!
